Jesus in Luke 17:26-30 in describing the days just before His return, said this. “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”

The days we are living in are filled with signs, the signs of what I believe are the end times just before the return of Christ. We don’t need to be like the people in Noah’s day or Lot’s day that were caught unaware. We may not know the day or the hour of Jesus’ return, but we can sure know the season.

Folks, it’s time to get our bags packed and our houses in order, because we’re getting ready to take a trip that will last an eternity.

The Bible gives us some clear indicators to watch for to warn us that His coming is at the door. We’ve not been left to guess. We can know!

Let’s look at the first 4 signs of the times in which we’re living and see how they point to the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

First, there’s been an increase in mobility & knowledge.

Daniel 12:4 describes the ends times by saying, “But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Up until just the last 150 years or so the main source of transportation has been a horse. Since then we’ve seen trains, cars, airplanes, & space ships take us places, “to and fro”, unknown to generations before. For 6000 years man has been on the earth, but only in this past century and a half have we seen an explosion of transportation that has us scurrying about. We can be on the other side of the world in less than a day if we so choose. What once took months to accomplished, a trip across America in a stagecoach, now takes a few hours in an airplane.

And knowledge has equally exploded. The advancements in the medical fields, computers, and other sciences have grown exponentially over the last 100 years. Just even look in our lifetimes, even in the last 10-15 years, as the Internet has come to the forefront of the world’s culture and provided any information and knowledge to anyone who would need it, in just a few strokes of the keyboard.

Ironically, we are the most educated but least wise generation mankind has ever known.

And that knowledge isn’t just limited to these things. God’s Word is also available to us as never before. Keep in mind that up until about the 1500’s the Bible wasn’t allowed to be read by commoners. Only priests could own and read the Bible, and everything was written in Latin. When Martin Luther challenged that it opened up the Bible for everyone to read and know. We have the opportunity to be the most Biblically knowledgable people that have ever existed.

And that knowledge isn’t just for us to know, but to share. That’s another part of the end times prophecy we will look at later on. We are called to not keep this good news and this urgent information to ourselves, but to tell others that Jesus is coming back and He alone can save.

Knowledge has truly increased exponentially in all areas in these last days as we are busily running to and fro in our ever increasingly frantic lives. This is a definite sign of the end times as prophesied in the Bible.

Second, technology has given us the ability to enforce the Mark.

The book of Revelation, chapter 13:16-17, says this, “All people were forced, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark.”

There’s an old saying that says “Money makes the world go around.” If you don’t have money it’s tough to survive in this world. You need it to pay for food, utilities, shelter, transportation, clothing, etc. It just takes money to live. Take it away and most of us wouldn’t know what to do. Control money and control the people.

Some societies and governments over the centuries have attempted to implement this to a certain degree, but never in history has there been a means to control the entire world’s financial systems and bring them into one, centralized controlling entity as we have today.

There are many countries wanting to move towards a one world monetary system. Many others are moving towards a cashless society with debit and credit cards being the norm. With all of the recent hacking that has cost corporations billions and billions of dollars as certain nefarious groups of people have found weaknesses and have been able to breach the security systems in large, Fortune 500 companies & people are rethinking their financial systems and structures options.

I think these things are only a test, by the way, a few shots across the bow, to help these hackers refine their tactics. In fact, I don’t think the next attack on our country will be anything like planes crashing into buildings. I predict instead a large scale, orchestrated, coordinated cyber attack on the financial systems of ours and other nations’s companies and government financial & security systems, creating a havoc that will make 9/11 pail in comparison.

I predict this grand scale attack will expedite a push for a cashless, one world monetary system with the added security of some sort of mark, chip, tattoo, whatever you want to call it, that will be applied to each person under the guise of security. The promise will be made that, “No one will ever be able to steal your money again because of that mark.”

Have you noticed how common tattoos are these days? Very excepted, very normal. Could it be preparing our world for the mark, if indeed its some sort of tattoo? “Hey, no big deal, just add it to the rest of them on me!”

Microchips are all the rage in pets these days. Even people have had them implanted for medical purposes. It’s a very small step to have something like the size of a grain of rice inserted under our skin that would have our unique information on it that we simply need to swipe under a scanner and go about our day.

Can you see how it’s being set up with all of the events that have taken place that have involved hacking and such? I certainly do.

The technology exists to make this happen. Could it be maybe the Rapture is the catalyst that brings this about? Out of fear people will do whatever it takes to be secure once more. Out of hunger, people will take the mark so they can eat.

But giving up your financial sovereignty by taking the mark will be a person’s eternal nail in their coffin. Control the money, control the people, and that’s exactly what the Antichrist has in mind.

I’m not sure what this mark will be, but it’ll be directly connected to people buying and selling. No mark, no buying and selling.

The technology is in place. This is a powerful sign of the times we’re in as prophesied in God’s Word.

Third, there’s been an increase in violence & sexual immorality.

We read earlier that the last days would be like the days of Noah & Lot. How were they?

Genesis 6:11-12 says, “Now the earth (in the days of Noah) was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.”

And in Lot’s day Jude 1:7 describes it this way. “In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”

Violence causes more than 1.6 million deaths worldwide every year. Violence is one of the leading causes of death in all parts of the world for persons ages 15 to 44.

To put this in perspective, 1.6 million people are the combined populations of Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, & Pittsburgh. It’s liking killing off everyone in those 4 cities….every year.

Murders, rapes, thefts, & riots, fueled by hatred, lust, greed, & frustration are increasing at alarming rates. We live in a violent world where radicals are beheading others in the name of their god, people are blowing up others in public venues for various evil reasons, others are flying airplanes into mountains filled with passengers, and riots & looting are breaking out because a particular ruling from a judge didn’t go their way.

Abortion is a form of violence against the unborn children of our world. There are about 1 million abortions in the U.S. alone every year, and nearly 58 million since it was legalized in 1973. To put that in perspective, that’s like wiping out the entire population of Canada and Australia combined!

In the time we go through a typical Sunday morning church service of 90 minutes there will be 5400 abortions worldwide, or one every second. That’s a total of 31,536,000 abortions every year worldwide!

It’s crazy out there and it’s world wide and only getting worse. The end times sign of violence is definitely happening today in an unprecedented way.

Add to this the sexual immorality running rampant not only in the US, but worldwide. Homosexuality is at the forefront of this perverted movement, opening the floodgates for transgenders and bisexuals and any other form of sexual perversion to come boldly and proudly out of their perspective closets.

As recently as 2010, 40 states banned gay marriage. As of today in just a few short years we now have 37 that have legalized it, with legal challenges to the bans in the other 13 states pending. By the way, of those 37 states, only 3 were approved by popular vote. The other 34 were either by court order (a whooping 26) or state legislature (8).

In 5 years we’ve seen a sweeping change across our country. But it’s not just here in America. Since 2001, 14 countries have legalized gay marriage, including Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, New Zealand, & France, with more being added all the time.

Gay marriage is the norm, and anyone who speaks out against it is labeled as intolerant, bigoted haters. But my Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

And it’s not just homosexuality that is running rampant. It seems that all the stops have been pulled out in the area of sexual perversion. It’s anything goes anymore. It’s not just pockets here and there anymore – sexual predators, rapists, orgies, pornography, you name it!The national morality of previous generations that used to keep it at bay and contained doesn’t exist anymore.

The floodgates have opened. Hollywood and Madison Avenue and every seedy underground back alley publication and perverted Internet site is jumping on the bandwagon. Sexting has become the norm with our young people and their cell phones. Bars and strip joints line the streets. Playboy has gone mainstream!

There is no shame. There is no decency. There is no restraint. The world is becoming one great big Sodom & Gomorrah, just as in the days of Lot, just before they were consumed with the fire and brimstone of God’s judgment on an unrepentant world.

The increased violence and rampant sexual perversion of our day is an obvious sign of the end times we are in, just as in the days of Noah & Lot.

And finally, there is a rise in Spiritualism.

1 Timothy 4:1 says, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”

There’s a prominence in spiritualism as never before, and this is another sign of the end times.

What is spiritualism? It’s a practice that relies heavily on communication with the after life. Mediums through seances communicate with spirits who have died (loved ones for example) and others who can help them with their wisdom and guide them in their decisions. These are tools of satan as demons pose themselves as these supposed wise people and lead them away from God and into all sorts of trouble and deception.

The Bible clearly states we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spirits and principalities and forces of darkness in high places. Satan is spiritual. His demons are spiritual. Satan knows how to present himself as an angel of light. He’s very convincing. Very cunning.

The world today has wholeheartedly embraced spiritualism and the occult and it doesn’t even know it.

Ouija boards are just a fun board game for most. Fortune Tellers and Palm Readers are made out to be our friends here to help bring us guidance. Even horoscopes depend on the readings of the aligning of the stars and planets and such to prophesy over us what will happen in our lives. It’s called Astrology, and many, many people make very important decisions based on these things.

The New Age movement has spiritualism at its core. Such folks as Oprah Winfrey present a compelling and convincing array of beliefs that have at its core a self awareness that promotes us as little gods not needing God Almighty. Take a little of God’s Word and mix it with this and you get the New Age movement, a form of spiritualism.

On TV there’s Long Island Medium, Witches of East End, Sleepy Hollow, & Charmed, and in the theaters there’s the Harry Potter & Twilight movies, just to name a few.

Listen, these are not just fun and games movies, TV shows, or activities. These are intentional and strategic tools of satan to lure even the very elect into a mixture of the pure and the soiled, of truth and lies, of the Godly and the satanic. We mix a little of God’s Word with what our horoscopes said. We open up our hearts to God’s Word and then take in the latest episode of our favorite spiritualist TV show. We take God’s Word and mix it with what a talk show host preaches.

I just heard on the news this week that Rock Hill is hosting the first ever Quidditch World Cup at Manchester Meadows. Some 200 teams exist in the US and the top 80 teams are here to compete for the championship.

What is Quidditch? It’s the game Harry Potter and the other witches and warlocks in training played against other teams in the Harry Potter movies. Part of their required gear to wear is a broom between their legs. And they heavily promote gender equality and inclusivity. They have a rule called “Title 9 3/4” that states – “USQ accepts those who don’t identify within the gender binary, and acknowledge that not all of our players identify as male or female. We welcome people of all identities and genders into our league.” And they are pushing heavily to promote this new “sport” to children.

All these things should be alarming to us, the Church. But are they?

We think we can compartmentalize our belief in God and our activities outside of that relationship and think it won’t harm us, but it will. It softens us. It compromises us. It places questions marks in our head of the authenticity of God’s Word and Jesus’ claims. It creates confusion and clutter and gray. God is not the author of any of that. It’s a subtle, patient tactic from a very cunning foe. And it’s something we must run from hard, and NOW!

Spiritualism has also crept into the church in the form of false doctrines that pander to the flesh and neglect the spirit man. Anything that has a spiritual label on it but doesn’t line up with God’s Word or bear witness with the Spirit of Christ in you is a form of spiritualism.

We must be very careful, Church. Stay on guard. Don’t be fooled by the devices of the enemy of your soul.

The Bible says that light and darkness cannot dwell in the same place. We must reject the offerings of this world to mix truth with lies, the holy with the profane, the pure with the tainted.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if what is being preached doesn’t line up with God’s Word, throw it out and run fast and hard away from it!

God brings His light to dispel the darkness. Jesus is the light of the world. And His Spirit can give us the discernment we need to reject the deceptive tactics of the enemy, his lies, & his lures.

Add this to the list of end time prophecies that is happening today at an ever increasing clip of speed and we see that, as we put everything together, we are moving very quickly towards the return of Christ to catch up His Bride, the Church.

You see, satan is pulling out all the stops because he knows his time is short.

So, what are we to do?

With the increase in mobility & knowledge we are to take the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Good News, to everyone everywhere as He commanded us.

With the ability of the world system to enforce the Mark, we are to not walk in fear but in peace, placing our trust in Christ alone for our provision, and not be deceived into taking the Mark no matter what or how it’s presented.

With the increase in violence & sexual immorality, we are to flee these things. Run, and run NOW! And instead embrace holiness, purity, and righteousness in our lifestyles and rely on God’s protection in our day to day lives.

And with the increase in Spiritualism we are to rely more heavily on the discerning power of the Holy Spirit to keep us from being deceived and not run towards or embrace doctrines of deceiving spirits and things taught by demons, but instead run into the arms of Christ and cling to the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit.

This is not a time for shrinking back. This is not a time for fear. This is not a time for defense. It’s not time to hole up in a mountain cave somewhere, hunker down, and wait for the trumpet to blast to get us out of here!

We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, and He hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of peace and of love and of a sound mind.

We must remain on the offense, moving forward with boldness and confidence, empowered by the Holy Spirit, knowing that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We are to expand and increase God’s Kingdom, the Bible says, by force, that means aggressively, taking no prisoners, and reclaiming everything back for God’s Kingdom and God’s glory.

We take the flag of Jesus Christ and we plant it firmly on the highest hill of every territory we take back for Him for all to see!

It may be Friday. It may seem like the world is winning, like satan is winning, but Sunday is on the way!

Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Some 2500 years ago King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a statue made of various materials: Gold, silver, bronze, iron, and iron mixed with clay. Daniel interpreted this dream as the various kingdoms that would exist before the return of Jesus, each inferior to the latter. Gold – Babylon, Silver – Persia, Bronze – Greece, Iron – Rome, Iron/Clay Mixture – the 10 kingdoms coming out of the the Roman Empire.

All of these kingdoms have indeed existed. We are (and have been for the last 1500 years) in the iron/clay era. The interpretation ends with describing what the “Rock not cut by man” was that came from the sky and obliterated the statue at its base. Daniel 2:44 says, “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.”

That Rock is Jesus and He’s coming back to obliterate the kingdoms of this world and set up His kingdom that will endure forever!

Sunday’s a comin’!

Are you ready?

7“You are the LordGod, who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham. 8You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

Nehemiah 9:5-6, “And the Levites said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be Your glorious name, and may It be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship You.”

There are 5 things we can learn about God from the opening paragraph of this prayer found open Chapter 9.

First, God is eternal (“from everlasting to everlasting”)

God didn’t just show up on the scene yesterday. He didn’t just become aware of your struggles. He’s not caught off guard by the troubles in our world today. He’s not aloof. He is engaging in every detail, every facet, every aspect of all that has ever happened, is happening, and ever will happen in your life and in our world.

Psalm 90:2, 4, “Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God. A thousand years in Your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.”

When Moses asked Him what he should say to the children of Israel as to who sent him, God answered, “Tell them the I Am that I Am has sent you.”

God is eternal. He’s got this thing. He’s in control. He’s been around forever and will be around forever.

God isn’t reacting to things that happen. He was aware of them before they ever took place.

His control over everything isn’t shaky or unstable. He’s always been in control of the events of the world. He has everything firmly in hand.

He is eternal! “But what about my wayward loved one, what about my finances, what about my sickness, what about my struggles?”

Psalm 100:5, “For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”

He’s either God or He’s not. His eternal nature, with no respecter of persons, is one of goodness and of love and of faithfulness for every generation.

You must believe in His eternal nature above what you see or feel. He is good. He loves unconditionally. He is faithful. These are eternal qualities you can apply to everything you are facing.

“Lord, You are eternally good and Your eternal love endures forever and Your eternal faithfulness will continue in my loved ones life, in my finances, in my sickness, in my struggles!”

Revelation 1:8, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Second, His name is above all (“may It be exalted above all blessing and praise”)

Philippians 2:9-11, “God has exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

At the name of Jesus leprosy is cleansed. At the name of Jesus demons flee. At the name of Jesus storms are stilled. At the name of Jesus loaves and fishes are multiplied. At the name of Jesus sins are forgiven. At the name of Jesus “it is finished”!

Jesus name is above all names, above all authorities, above all principalities, and above all powers.

What do you need to speak the name of Jesus into? What do you need to infuse the name of Jesus into? What do you need to flood with the name of Jesus?

Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 28:18 after His resurrection, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

And since Christ is in you, you have that authority as well. Satan doesn’t want you to know that let alone implement it! Jesus name is above all, and all means all!

And at that name one day every knee will bow and tongue confess He is King of kings and Lord of lords!

Third, He alone is God (“You alone are the Lord”)

King David, in a time of deep distress, prayed this prayer in Psalm 86:4-8, 10, “Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in You. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to You. Hear my prayer, Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress, I call to You, because You answer me. Among the gods there is none like You, Lord; no deeds can compare with Yours. For You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are God.”

How often do we go to the doctor, the medicine cabinet, the self help book, or to a McCounselor FIRST instead of taking our concerns to the One true God?

We’re surrounded with many volunteers vying to take God’s place in our life. There a lot of little gods available for us to place our trust. But everything else is undependable, changeable, like sinking sand. Only Jesus is God all by Himself. He doesn’t need any help being God.

Oh that we would put our trust in God and mean it. Oh that we would trust that when we call out to Him He truly hears us and answers us. Oh that we would trust that He is God alone, in the good times and the bad times, and has our best interest at heart.

What is it that you’ve placed your faith in more than God? Is it the medicine? The talent? The bank account? The career? The position? The relationship?

Isaiah 45:5-6, “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from Me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged Me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.”

Fourth, He created all things and gives life to them (“You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them, You give life to everything”)

Colossians 1:16-17 says, “For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

In the scientific world there is a protein in our body known as Laminin.

Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”

In other words, it’s the glue that holds our bodies together. Without Laminin we would fall apart.

God has created us perfectly and beautifully, and “In Him all things hold together.”

I don’t want to spend a whole long time on this point because I think a picture is worth a thousand words. At this point you’ll need to Google “Laminin”.

The Cross holds the world together. Jesus work completes that work of salvation which will culminate in His soon return.

Do you feel like your world is falling apart? The sign of the Cross is holding it together. Even atheists, agnostics, and devil worshippers have in every cell of their body the Cross holding them together.

Fifth, He alone is worthy of worship (“The multitudes of heaven worship You”)

Psalm 148 are 14 verses that speak of all of creation worshipping God.

Verses 1-10 talk about the angels praising God, the heavenly hosts praising God, the sun, moon, stars, waters, sea creatures, lightening, hail, snow, clouds, winds, mountains, hills, fruit trees, cedars, wild animals, cattle, wild animals, and flying birds praising God!

These created things are actively praising the Lord day and night as a decree He issued for all of eternity.

In verses 11 and 12, the kings of the earth and all nations, the princes and all rulers on the earth, the young men and women, the old men and children praise the Lord.

This includes everyone and everything. Nothing in creation is left out. All are commanded to praise the Lord. So how can this be? How can all of creation praise the Lord?

Getting back to the scientific realm, all molecules put off electromagnetic waves, in theory. In the electromagnetic spectrum humans hear sound waves from 20 hertz to 20 kilohertz, but God has no limitations to His hearing. He hears all of the electromagnetic spectrum.

I believe God knows every molecule in every part of His creation and I believe they all sing to Him. I think God hears all of His creation singing to Him.

Scientists have discovered that there are stars in the galaxy that emit pulses so many times a second. Let’s call that the percussion section.

Then let’s add the sound of whales in the ocean as they create a musical fill.

The thunder of the rainstorm provide the crashing cymbals.

The elephants are the trumpet section, and the birds are the flute section. All of creation adds their part in the orchestra.

Finally, he added our voices. He puts all these sounds together and what He hears is a beautiful symphony of praise to His glorious name!

We are the only ones in all of creation, though, that have a choice, because we are the only ones to whom He’s given a will.

Our praise is a choice. It’s an act of our will. It’s because of and many times in spite of our circumstances that we praise Him.

This really goes back to our words. We can bless or curse. We can speak the problem or proclaim the Promises of God. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So are you speaking out curses or blessings? Are you speaking in faith or doubt? Are you declaring the Word of the Lord over your situations or are you condemning them with your negative words?

Our praise becomes a substance God can work in. Our faith activates the heavenlies on our behalf. Our worship moves God’s hand to intervene for us.

Let’s choose to praise our eternal God who’s name is above every name, the One who created all things, who gives life to all things, who holds us together by the work of the Cross, for He alone is worthy of all praise now and forever more!

Your Place In This World – Nehemiah 9:3

DO YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO IT ON YOUR PODCAST APP? CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE

Do you ever ask yourself, “Where do I belong? Where do I fit in? What’s my purpose in life? Where’s my place in this world?”

Michael W. Smith wrote a song back in 1991 called “Place In This World” that was a huge hit, crossing over into the secular Billboard Hot 100, making it all the way to #6.

It spoke of the angst many people feel as they go through life. “Why am I here?”

“The wind is moving, but I am standing still
A life of pages waiting to be filled
A heart that’s hopeful a head that’s full of dreams
But this becoming is harder than it seems
Feels like I’m…

Looking for a reason,
roaming through the night to find my place in this world, my place in this world.
Not a lot to lean on, I need Your light to help me find My place in this world, My place in this world.

If there are millions down on their knees
Among the many can You still hear me?
Hear me asking where do I belong
Is there a vision that I can call my own?
Show me, I’m…” (chorus)

This song obviously resonated with a generation looking for a reason for being. Every generation, every person, has this heart cry.

We see this restless searching played out in so many ways.

We see it in our world today in the pursuit of elicit relationships, power positions, abundant possessions, & fancy titles.

We see it in the embracing of causes, in the fighting for ideals, in the search for significance.

And while relationships, positions, possessions, and titles are not bad in themselves to pursue, if that is where your identity, your security, and your purpose revolves around, then it’s misplaced and will never, ever be satisfying.

Many folks go through their entire lives never finding that place where they belong. They never truly discover their purpose. They live year after year going through the motions, treading water, doing a lot of activity but getting absolutely no where for all their effort. And at the end of their life they look back with “what ifs” and regrets and “if onlys”.

I don’t want to live my life like that. I don’t want you to live your life like that.

I want to live with no regrets. How about you?

God has an assignment for you and me. God has a place for us. God has a purpose for our existence.

You are wanted and you are needed. Did you know that?

You might say, “God can do whatever He has planned to do without me. He doesn’t need me.”

Can God do anything? Yes. Can He do it without you and me? If He wanted to, sure, He’s God.

BUT HE CHOOSES NOT TO.

God’s plan includes you and me. God’s fulfilled purposes on this earth require as part of His plan our obedience and engagement.

He has a place for you. He has a plan for you. He has a purpose for you being born on this earth in this generation in this place for such a time as this.

He’s placed in you desires and abilities and placed before you opportunities for a reason. And that reason is for you and me to join in fulfilling His master plan.

If you don’t show up, it won’t get done. If you don’t engage, there will be a hole where you didn’t do your part.

Let me say this very clearly today. You are important. Every single one of us are an integral part of the overall effectiveness and impact of the church to the world.

You have a specific assignment and destiny in Christ. You were created on purpose to fulfill a unique assignment that only you can fulfill. And that fulfillment can only be fully realized as you stand in your place before God and never, ever move from it.

Nehemiah 9:3, “The people of God stood in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day (3 hours), and spent another quarter of the day (3 hours) in confession and in worshiping the Lord their God.”

They stood in their place and did three things. These three things, when done in our lives on a regular basis, will keep everything in perspective, our walk, our purpose, our reason for being.

At the end of our lives and when we stand before our Maker, if we do these three things while on the earth on a consistent basis, we’ll have no regrets, because we will have fulfilled our purpose for being, our assignment, as these three things will keep us standing in the place for which God has created us to make the difference we are intended to make on this earth for His glory.

The first thing they did was read aloud His Word.

A Jewish day is divided up into 4 segments of three hours each. It begins at sunrise, or around 6am, and ends at sunset, or around 6pm. The evening is divided up the same way.

This special day was a culmination of an eight day celebration, the Feast of Tabernacles, where the people lived in temporary shelters, feasted, and gave thanks to God for His faithfulness and blessings, all revolving around God’s Word.

The Feast was to be a yearly event, one of seven holy celebrations established by God for His people, this being the last of the year, specifically to give honor to God for His goodness in providing for their needs and redirect their hearts back to Him for the upcoming new year.

This eighth day of the celebration was a solemn assembly, where the people removed themselves from the festival atmosphere and moved into a place of solemn reverence at and around God’s Temple. Nehemiah 9:1-2 says they separated themselves from the world, fasted, and humbly wore sackcloth and ashes as they cried out to God.

There was as a regular activity a morning and an evening sacrifice. An animal acceptable to God would be presented by the priest as a sacrifice at the first watch of the day, between 6-9am, and again at the last watch of the day, between 3-6pm.

The events listed in Nehemiah 9:3 therefore occurred in between these two daily sacrifices, roughly between 9am-3pm.

The people were coming from witnessing the morning sacrifice, being reminded that their sins were being covered by the shedding of the blood of a sacrificial lamb, which was required by God.

In our NT context, this practice is no longer needed, because Jesus took care of that once and for all. His shed blood, His perfect, holy blood, Him being the once and for all sacrificial Lamb for all of mankind’s sin, satisfies God’s holiness.

As born again Believers who have placed our trust in Christ, we are covered by the blood of Jesus. God no longer sees our sin, but only sees the perfect, holy blood of Jesus who has covered our sins and washed us clean.

We are new creations in Jesus Christ.

The challenge we have is that this truth becomes old hat, common place, and not as powerful and special in our lives as it once was or needs to be.

We take for granted the beautiful thing God has done for us. We abuse the grace that was so painfully and horribly and freely provided for us and we cheapen it by our choices, actions, and lifestyles.

His grace, His work, His blood is no less powerful and deserves no less reverence and absolute gratitude than when we first was made known of it and applied it to our hearts.

As we daily re-embrace the work of the cross, as we remind ourselves of it as the people back then were twice reminded of it on a daily basis in the morning and evening sacrifices, it will give traction to the two things we are called to do that will elevate us to God’s purposes and plans for our lives, living with no regret, fulfilling all that He has for us to do.

Through the lenses of His shed blood and our absolute gratitude of His amazing grace, we revolve our lives around God’s precious Word.

Why do this? Why prioritize God’s Word in our lives? What will this do for us? What will this do in us? What will this do around us?

First, let’s just establish this. 2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is God-breathed…” Everything in the Bible is from God, not man. The Holy Spirit breathed His Word into and through men.

The Word can be counted on. Psalm 119:89, “Your Word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” Jesus, the Word made flesh, said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” You can stake your life on His Word. Deuteronomy 32:46-47 says, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you—they are your life.”

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been at a crossroads in my life only to find an answer in God’s Word. His Word has brought to me strength in times of weakness, guidance when I needed direction, correction when I was straying, clarity in times of confusion, hope in times of discouragement & peace in times of stress.

Throughout my life His Word has been an anchor for me & a solid foundation. I’ve been able to encourage others with His Word, reminding them that His Word trumps circumstances, feelings, or what we think.

There have been times in my life when His Word has been less precious to me & less of a priority. I’ve gotten busy, taken It for granted, and allowed It to become common place.

It’s a lot like a marriage relationship. We get comfortable in it and begin to coast. After a while we ignore the warning signs of inclement weather ahead and begin to loose traction on the slick roads and get in danger of sliding off into a ditch.

The tow truck of God’s powerful Word comes and pulls us out, sets us aright, and instructs us to use precautions going forward.

The people in the days of Nehemiah were in such a ditch. God was pulling them out of the ditch of exile and reestablishing their lives to again revolve around an abiding, ever-growing relationship with God. And as they began to read the Word two more things happened.

The first was a confession of their sins.

His Word exposes our motives, lays bare our shortcomings, and reveals our lack. His Word shows us our inability to live a holy life on our own and our utter lack of being able to earn salvation, while at the same time reminding us of God’s faithfulness, mercy and love revealed to us through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

As the people listened to the Word being spoken, their hearts were convicted and broken. They realized the error of their ways and how they had strayed. Their only response was to confess their sins to a Holy God.

As we approach God’s Word, whether it be corporately or in our individual quiet times before God, we should do the same.

His Word bypasses our justifications. His Word exposes our compromise. His Word reveals the blindness of our self-deception. His Word gets to the truth. Witnesses may lie, but the evidence never lies.

Our flesh doesn’t like this. Our flesh enjoys justifying, compromising, and living in self-deception. That’s why many run away from the truth of God’s Word, because it challenges our flesh to die.

The Bible warns us in the last days that people will run to where they can get their ears tickled. Modern day interpretation, they’ll go where they’ll hear what they want to hear to justify their lifestyles and surround themselves with people of the same bent as to not live in conviction, but compromise in those areas their flesh wants to embrace.

Our flesh makes a great slave but a horrible master.

Our flesh, when we allow it to rule us, will lead us down all sorts of paths, all, why seeming to start out fun and enjoyable, will eventually lead to sorrow, destruction, and death.

Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

In my years of ministry I’ve seen this happen time and time again. People justify their choices, think they’re exceptions to the rule, rely on God’s mercy and grace to trump His righteous judgment and Holy anger, and think there will be no price to pay for their rebellious choices.

But there’s ALWAYS a price to pay. We will always reap what we’ve sown, in kind and in greater proportion, as we continue down our selfish, fleshly, rebellious paths. It may not happen right away, or even in our lifetime, but one day there will be a price to pay.

We convince ourselves that we’re an exception to the rule. We justify that surely God understands and will give us a pass. He DOES understand, that’s why He’s given us a way of escape, through the blood of Jesus. That is our only pass, as we pass through the blood that cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

Our price was paid only through Jesus blood. All other debt in our lives that we don’t submit to the covering blood of Jesus is a debt we will have to pay with our very souls for all of eternity.

That’s why it’s important to be reminded every day as the folks in Nehemiah’s day were at the morning and evening sacrifices of the cleansing, redeeming, life giving blood of Jesus in our lives, and apply it every day to our hearts, and daily take up our cross and submit to follow Jesus.

And while the fleshly path that seems right at the beginning eventually leads to death, God on the other hand promises to lead us well if we’ll delight in Him. Psalm 37:23-24, “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”

And not only will He make firm our steps and lead us well, He will keep us all the way to glory. Jude 1:24 says , “He is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy.”

Listen, I don’t know about you, but this is enough to make me want to shout, “Hallelujah, thank You, Jesus, Lord You’re worthy of all the glory, and all the honor and all the praise!”

Think of this sweet deal. Jesus takes our sin and replaces it with His holiness. Jesus takes our curse and gives us blessing. Jesus takes our filthy rags and robes us in His righteousness. Jesus takes our sickness and gives us healing. Jesus takes our lack and gives us His abundance. Jesus takes the sting of death and gives us eternal life.

And all because He loves us! He loves you and me so much that He did this for us without any guarantee that anyone would take Him up on it.

Jesus has given us all we need to live a life of joy, victory, peace, effectiveness, and purpose.

These folks back then realized this as they heard God’s Word. Their confession and repentance led them to the next thing, they worshiped.

They saw their lack and rejoiced in God’s provision. His Word not only exposed their sin which led to confession and repentance, but it caused to flow out of them rivers of rejoicing & thanksgiving through heartfelt worship.

When was the last time you allowed a song to get beyond your mind and absorb into your heart? When was the last time the lyrics of a Holy Spirit inspired worship song moved you to fall to your knees, lift up your hands, raise your voice, bring tears of gratitude to your eyes, & soften your heart?

When was the last time you got lost in His presence?

Music is merely a vehicle to transport us into God’s presence. But worship isn’t only just music. Worship is prayer, worship is an intimate time of loving and thanking Jesus through personal heartfelt expressions. It’s a corporate experience as well as an individual one.

And it’s so necessary in our walk with Christ.

Christian Author David Hunt says, “Worship is not a repetitious exercise of rituals and formulas. These create a veil that actually prevents us from enjoying the presence of the Lord. Worship is the heart poured out in gratitude and awe, expressing our appreciation of who He is and what He has done for us by His grace through Jesus Christ.”

The people in Nehemiah’s day expressed their gratitude and awe for God’s mercy, faithfulness, and love. Their response to God’s Word was one of repentance and worship.

We have a reason to rejoice. We have a reason to be thankful. We have a reason to worship.

This reason gives us purpose. This reason gives us direction. This reason explains why we are here and how we can live with no regrets, because we will have fulfilled our purpose for being, our assignment.

We asked at the beginning of this message, “Where do I belong? Where do I fit in? What’s my purpose in life? Where’s my place in this world?”

The answers- you belong to God. You fit within His master plan. Your purpose is to have relationship with Him and out of that relationship fulfill His plan in and through us. And your place is walking out your God-given purposes with no regrets until He returns.

Let’s live our lives before Christ with no regrets. Let’s live on purpose. No more coasting. No more delays. You have a God-given assignment. Find it, then stand in it and walk it out. THAT’S why you’re hear. It’s a relationship with God that leads to your God-given destiny in Him. That is your place in this world. How about it?

Be Ye Separate – Nehemiah 9:1-2

Opening Video – Carter Conlon (Full Sermon)

9/11 was a horrible day in our country, and for several weeks our nation made a slight but noticeable turn back to God. Churches were packed, the fragility of life became pronounced, and people for a moment reevaluated their lives as it related to God.

Fear will do that. Foundations being shaken will do that.

That’s why I’ve found that folks are so much more open to eternal things, salvation, where we go after we die, stuff like that, when a tragedy or a death occurs in a family.

All of a sudden the urgent and busy things of life take a back seat to the truly important, the foundational, and the eternal things of life. “Why am I here and where am I headed? And how does God fit in to all of it?” It brings a soberness and clarity to what’s really important, at least for a time.

My job and privilege as your pastor is to love you and to shepherd you.

I’m to point you in the direction of refreshing green pastures. I’m to protect you from the predators who would desire to devour you.

I’m to speak the truth in love to you. I tell you not what you WANT to hear, but what you NEED to hear. I’m not here to feed your flesh, but to destroy it.

I’m not here to entertain you. Church is not a TV variety show and I’m not a contestant hoping to get a good score and your not my judge giving me points on a scale of 1-10 on how well things went in service.

I preach the Word. And may those that have spiritual ears hear. My job is to encourage you when you’re down, fan into flame the embers of godly holiness in your heart, challenge you in your areas of compromise, and get you ready for the Rapture and an eternity in Heaven, all the while inspiring you to pursue fulfilling your God-given destiny on the earth and impacting souls for His kingdom! I point you in the right direction, but only you can walk it out.

If you’re living in sin and compromise in some area of your life, my job is to call it out based on what Scripture says and trust that the Holy Spirit relentlessly makes you feel extremely uncomfortable, with a conviction leading you to repentance.

My job is to not just provide head knowledge information, but to expect a Holy Spirit transformation of everyone who comes to this church. Romans 10:14 says, “How can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

I preach the anointed, never changing, life giving Word of God. I plant and water. God brings the increase. And that increase looks like this – my expectation is that each one in this place is growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and out of that growth impacting our world for the cause of Christ.

Each one of us should be in a constant state of intentionally, aggressively, whole-heartedly separating ourselves from evil, from flesh, from wickedness, from the sins that would so easily entangle us, not looking to the left and not looking to the right, and running, running, RUNNING, to Jesus!!

That’s what our text is all about today.

Nehemiah 9:1-2, “On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on their heads. Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors.”

These people had for many years allowed the culture to influence them. They became more like the culture around them rather than the culture becoming more like them.

Complacency had set in. Compromise was embraced. And lifestyles became less and less set apart. No more black and white. Gray was the color of choice. I think it’s appropriate that one of the most popular and vile X rated novels of the last couple of years, which now has been made into a raunchy movie, is entitled “50 Shades of Gray”.

That’s where we are as a culture. There’s very little absolute truth, very little black and white. It’s 50 shades of vile, raunchy, X rated gray, and the Church is not far behind, because the Church is not leading, it’s following.

Complacency has given place to compromise, and compromise has given place to ineffectiveness because absolute truth has been replaced with subjective truth and God’s Word has been allowed to gather dust as just a relic from a narrow minded, intolerant past.

In the churches attempt to remain relevant, we’ve become LESS relevant because of our embracing of the supposed new, enlightened, inclusive morality that is being heralded loud and long and crammed down our throats at every turn. We adjusted the standard of God’s Word to fit the morals of the day, making the standard the test. We’ve cut the ropes from the moorings and foundations of our faith and are aimlessly drifting whichever way the winds of moral decay may blow.

But listen to me today, Church, be separate! Run! Run, Church, away from the feel good, watered down, compromised preaching of today! Hold fast to the foundational teachings and eternal truths of God’s Word! Reattach yourself to the absolute, eternal, unchanging truth found in the Holy Bible. Don’t believe the world’s lies. Don’t be influenced by the shifting of the winds. Hold steady!

Church of Jesus Christ, stop following the world’s ways. Stop embracing the compromised culture, stop validating by your lifestyle choices that the direction the world is choosing to go is the right way.

It’s a path that is leading to destruction! So, repent, turn, and run to Jesus!

The generation who came out of 400 years of Egyptian bondage were on the very cusp of entering the Promised Land. Miracle after miracle from God Almighty had brought them to this point. Numbers 14 tells us how the land was theirs for the taking as God was going to make it happen, but out of fear and doubt they shrunk back, rebelled, and were cursed to roaming 40 years in the wilderness until that generation died away.

A trip of a few days took 40 years to complete. Why?

The people chose to believe less of God and His ability. They brought God down to their level. They didn’t account that past miracles from His hand would convey to future continued miracles. As far as they were concerned, God was done doing supernatural stuff. They chose to take matters into their own hands and run the show.

But humans driving the car that was only meant for God to drive never ends well. We drive it into the ditch. We crash. We are too proud to ask for directions and end up in the completely wrong place. And before you know it we’ve driven around in circles for the proverbial 40 years.

Imagine the conversations that took place between the generation who had come out of slavery and their children. I imagine some were bitter against God, but I would think that maybe most of them spoke into their children’s lives hope and encouragement.

“Don’t think like we thought and do what we did. Don’t doubt God. Don’t take matters into your own hands. Don’t be afraid. Trust Him. Believe Him for the supernatural. Believe His promises to show up and do great things in your midst. God did show up for us. I’ve told you of the wonderful miracles He performed for us. But we rebelled, took matters into our own hands, jumped in the drivers seat, and this is the result. It’s too late for me, but it’s not too late for you. Look towards the future with great hope and expectation. Run back to God and never, ever run away!”

Let me ask you a question today. Looking back on the last 40 years of Church history (and let me be clear, we are all individually the Church), have we grown closer to God or further away? Have we been a greater impact on our culture or less of an impact? Are we more relevant or less relevant than 40 years ago?

The answers are obvious as we see the results of what the Church has done to take the steering wheel from God and slowly but surely impose our own will upon what should happen. This generation hasn’t seen the miracles. This generation hasn’t experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This generation has been offered far less than what God’s Kingdom is all about.

And at the same time this generation is being offered such an overwhelming variety and onslaught of distractions and entertainment choices that feed the flesh and starve the Spirit man that it has exponentially sped up the process of joining together with the world in such a way that there is very little distinction between Believers and unbelievers.

But God’s Word says, “Come out and be ye separate!” Run, Church, Run away from the sinking sand of sin and run back to the solid rock of Jesus!

2 Corinthians 6:14-18, “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial (satan)? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

The people in Nehemiah’s day stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They wore sackcloth and ashes and fasted. They humbled themselves before a mighty God and repented. They recommitted themselves to honor Him, serve Him, obey Him, and trust Him.

They put Him back in the drivers seat.

Isaiah 52:11, “Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the articles of the Lord’s house.”

This was a plea to God’s chosen people living in Babylon to not be part of the whoring that was taking place in that culture. “Your in it, but don’t be of it”, was the warning. Don’t wink at it. Don’t give it place. Don’t touch it!

We are in a modern day Babylonian culture of filth and decadence, of sin and perversion, of every vile evil thing imaginable.

We, too, have been called to come out from among them and be pure Believers. How? By the renewing of our minds by the washing of the Word. By inviting the Holy Spirit to take the central spot in our lives once more. By moving aside and letting God drive. By not trusting in the ways of man, but wholly leaning on Jesus.

The way we “do church” just isn’t working. The New Testament is replete with testimonies of “signs and wonders following those who believed”.

The signs and wonders attracted people who then heard the Good News, were saved, filled with the Spirit, and went out to tell others, repeating the cycle until the whole world heard of the saving, rescuing power of Jesus Christ.

God wants to do miracles. God wants to reveal Himself to this generation. God wants to pour out His Spirit on ALL flesh as it says in Joel Chapter 2.

But we’re rebellious and doubtful and in the driver’s seat. This will never cut it.

We’ve roamed around in the wilderness for a proverbial 40 years now. Our man driven ways have become the accepted norm. Our way isn’t working. But God is speaking to His Church today. Can we believe Him again for the supernatural? Can we trust Him again to move by His Spirit in our midst and not be afraid? Can we allow Him to drive this thing knowing the destination is going from glory, to glory, to glory?

He has a Promised Land for us. It’s just over the next hill. But I’m tired of just looking over at it, I want to live IN it! I’m tired of hearing stories of past generations where God showed up. I’m tired of reading stories in the Bible of how He moved back then. I want to see it and experience it in the here and now!

Listen, God is always doing a new thing. God is not a static God. He’s always on the move, doing a new thing in the lives and the midst of those who would simply believe and let Him do the driving.

Yes there are giants in the land. Giants of doubt, giants of format and tradition, giants of fear, giants of complacency, giants of fleshly desires. Yes the walls are ominous and seemingly insurmountable, but nothing that can’t be laid to dust with a march and a shout and a breaking of some pots as they did in Jericho!

Caleb and Joshua said to the fearful in Numbers 14:9, “Do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

Do you know that there were 600,000 fighting men in the army of Israel at that time? Even a portion of that army would have been enough to destroy any foe. But they didn’t look at the size of their God, but the size of the opposition. They brought God down to their level and said He wasn’t able to come through. God help us to not do the same!

Let’s not be the doubting, rebellious generation who didn’t possess the land, but their children who shouted at the walls of Jericho and they came tumbling down!

Listen, God has a plan for His Church, and it’s not for us to walk in fear. It’s not for us to lean on our own strength and ability. It’s not for us to control. And it’s not for us to turn and run from.

God’s plan is for us to move forward as He drives, because He is with us and He intends for us to swallow up the enemy! Don’t look at the size of the enemy, look at the size of God who is on our side!

Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

We love the new things. This excites us. We’ll take the blessings all day long. But there’s a price to pay first. Isaiah 43 continues with God imploring the people to seek Him, return to Him, and pursue relationship with Him again. It requires a separation, a setting apart, a repentance, a recalibration, a renewal, a confessing of sins, a humbling of ourselves before a Holy, Mighty, loving God.

Be ye separate, set apart. 1 Peter 2:9 declares us to be a “Chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that we may declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

The children of Israel in the days of Moses decided to do it their way, to their demise.
We’re in a generation who follows God corporately and individually on their own terms, safe, predictable, controlled.

Let’s bust out of that box! Let’s be the generation who takes the land He’s promised and trusts in Him to do the unbelievable, extraordinary, and supernatural in our midst.

To bring glory to His name and strength to His people!

Let me challenge you today to consider who’s in the driver’s seat of your life. What of the world have you embraced as acceptable practices in your life that the Holy Spirit is convicting you of?

Be separate from it. Be set apart. Run away from those things that are sinking sand & deadly, and run back to the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. Do it today.

Then watch what God will do in our midst.
